Hi all,
Been a few years and looking to get back into the FYM community. Downloaded and installed the latest version today and keep getting a couple error codes and the program terminates.
Starts with "Unable to connect to Maps and Trains server...will continue in offline mode, but will be unable to transfer trains or download new maps.
"Error 9002: cannot find file FYMMNames.zip...FYM terminating. Check installation of FYM."
and finally get "Error 9002: Cannot find FYMHeader.ini...FYM terminating. Check installation of FYM, or contact system development team." The game closes itself then.
Any ideas what I can do to resolve this? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game a few times and keep getting the same results.

Those errors are all from the same cause: no connection to the server. It sounds like FTP is being blocked. Please email your most recent log file from your [game data location]\Log

I can't seem to locate a log file within my game folder. What would be the file name?

Did a full reinstall and allowed the app thru the firewall settings. Running the new Windows 11 on the machine...not sure if there are settings I need to configure but still got the same results.

Please email your most recent log file from your [game data location]\Log Not the installation folder. The game data folder. File names vary.

Found the issue...I was not linked to the data folder...and in the same area found where that folder exists now. All is working now and doing the tutorials now.

Richard, not sure if you got my original log files but I've run across one issue, on my home network I'm not able to access the maps & trains server, but when I use other wireless networks I can without issue. Chat and game play still work. Has this been noticed before, and is there a solution I can try to fix?

The log files are local to your machine, in the Log directory of the game data location (in File/Options). My guess is we will find out your ISP or a firewall somewhere is blocking FTP, which is how FYM interacts with the Maps and Train server.
