On up dating to FYM this am, I could not get it to work. First out of date pop up. Then a not authorized user. Also, my anti Virus pointed to FYM as a virus. Here in lies the problem. I checked the quarantined files, and there was there new FYM files. Recovered the files, and we're good. Posting here to provide info for others.

Yes, to run the installer you have to get it past your virus software. Sorry, but FYM is too small to try to work out solutions with all the virus people to prevent this.
I should emphasize that FYM gets caught in the virus programs because it is unknown to the virus program, not because it is a virus!

And we did try once - we got ignored for weeks on end, then told "no, it's fine" despite users saying it definitely wasn't fine. As a (possibly paying) customer of your chosen antivirus software, you'd be better placed to contact their support staff if you're really having trouble. As an external third party who's not offering anyone money, they don't care about anything we say to them. |
